About Justin Kalo

Justin Kalo was more than just a name to us—he was a force of love, laughter, and light in our lives. A son, brother, uncle, cousin, friend, and boyfriend, Justin embraced every role he held with an unmatched vibrancy and an endless capacity for kindness.

From the moment you met Justin, you couldn’t help but be drawn to his magnetic personality. The literal center of our lives. He had the biggest heart, always ready to lend a hand or share a laugh. Justin lived his life with a joy that was both infectious and inspiring. He was the life of every party, the guy who could turn even the dullest moments into cherished memories. His happiness was contagious, a rare gift that he shared freely with those lucky enough to know him.

Justin’s passions made him who he was. He was a true sports enthusiast, loyal to his favorite teams: the Los Angeles Dodgers, Pittsburgh Steelers, Los Angeles Lakers, and the USC Trojans.He loved watching the games with friends and family. Justin’s love for sports brought everyone together. Baseball, basketball, football—no matter the sport, his energy and excitement was one of a kind. 

Beyond sports, Justin loved country music. Going to country concerts or festivals like Stagecoach were his favorite things to do. He loved the music, the atosphere and more than anything, he loved people.  These experiences were a reflection of his personality: fun, heartfelt, and full of life.

As a son, Justin was unparalleled. He had a way of making you feel deeply loved, with a heart so pure and kind that it was impossible to stay mad at him for long—if at all. He never had an ounce of malice in him; he wouldn’t hurt a fly. His warmth and affection were constants, grounding his family with his unwavering love.

As a brother, Justin was a cornerstone of support and humor. The only boy of three children, he had the uncanny ability to make everyone laugh, even in the toughest times. He was always there to help, no matter how big or small the need. His sisters could count on him for anything—whether it was a shoulder to lean on, a hand to lift them up, or a quick-witted joke to brighten their day.

To his nieces and godson, Justin was the epitome of the “fun uncle.” He would do anything to see them smile. He played with them, spoiled them, and showed them what it meant to be loved unconditionally. His devotion to his family, especially the youngest members, was beautiful to witness. 

Justin wasn’t just all about his family; he was also an irreplaceable friend. Loyal, dependable, and endlessly fun, he made life better for everyone around him. He saw the good in people and celebrated it, and his kindness made him beloved by all who knew him.

Justin Kalo’s legacy is one of love, laughter, and selflessness. He left an indelible mark on all our lives, reminding us to cherish every moment and every person we hold dear. While the pain of losing him feels insurmountable, his spirit lives on in the stories we share, the love he gave, and the lessons he taught us about living life fully and with a heart wide open.
